BIM 3D and Revit

The BIM process will revolve around 3D digitized models, and we need software (BIM Tool) to do the work of building these models. A 3D modeling software for BIM needs to meet all the criteria: building 3D models, entering information for components, and updating instantly.

Autodesk is one of the pioneering and leading software companies in the development of applications that support the BIM process. Which,  Autodesk Revit is emerging as an indispensable software when it comes to BIM, especially 3D BIM. Revit will support implementation in 3 main phases:

• Architectural design (architecture)
• Structural design
• Electromechanical Design (MEP)

Although there are still certain limitations, Revit software is constantly being updated and supplemented by Autodesk, plus the undeniable advantage in synchronization in the same large ecosystem:

• Extremely tight synchronization with AutoCAD (same company Autodesk)
• Form a seamless process from architecture, and structure to MEP on the same Revit software, minimizing the import and export that causes data loss before.
• Links with other Autodesk software such as Navisworks, Infraworks, 3Ds Max, Inventor…
• Data is continuously synchronized on an aggregate model, allowing engineers to design on the same model in real-time.
